Complete Control Over AI: Approving, Pausing, and Resuming Strategies

In the high-stakes world of high-speed P2P trading, algorithmic autonomy must be paired with rock-solid predictability. Pilotbot operates on the Human-in-the-Loop principle: the neural network agent handles complex order book calculations, spread analysis, and micro-adjustments of quotations, but final control always stays with you.

No ad on an exchange will change its price, and no algorithm will begin deploying your capital without your personal confirmation. Your hand is always on the master switch.

The Strategy Lifecycle: From Draft to Archive

Every strategy in Pilotbot progresses through a strict, deterministic sequence of states. This eliminates unexpected price shifts and ensures you always understand the precise status of every ad.

Key System States

  • Draft — The agent has just generated the trading logic based on your conversational prompt. At this stage, all parameters are computed in an internal sandbox: the bot assesses the market but executes zero actions on the exchange.
  • Pending Approval — The strategy is fully calculated and awaits your decision. A comprehensive strategy specification card is displayed on-screen: target position, outbid step, price boundaries, and safety filters.
  • Active — The strategy has been reviewed, approved, and deployed live. The high-speed pricing worker takes control of the ad, updating quotations every few seconds within your designated safety corridor.
  • Paused — The automated trading loop is temporarily frozen. The ad remains on the exchange at its current price, but the worker stops adjusting quotes until you resume.
  • Archived — The strategy has completed its lifecycle and is moved to history. You can always retrieve an archived strategy's parameters to seed a new dialogue with the agent.

The allowed state transitions are intuitive and fail-safe: Draft → Pending Approval → Active ⇄ Paused → Archived.

Approving a Strategy: Pre-Flight Checklist

When the agent finishes structuring a strategy, it enters the Pending Approval state. A summary parameter card appears before you.

Before clicking the Approve button, review these critical metrics:

  1. Target Rank: Which order book spot you will occupy (e.g., strictly Top-1, holding Top-3, or following the leader).
  2. Undercut Step: The margin by which the system will outbid the closest valid competitor (e.g., by 0.01 RUB or 0.001 USDT).
  3. Safety Bounds: Rigid price guardrails. For sell ads, this is the minimum price floor below which the bot will not drop. For buy ads, it is the maximum purchase ceiling.
  4. Competitor Filters: Exclusion of spam orders with micro-limits or low-reputation merchants.

Once you click Approve, the strategy transitions to Active immediately. The pricing engine synchronizes with the Binance or Bybit P2P order book and begins quoting optimal rates.

Pausing: Instant Freeze Without Losing Settings

In active trading, situations arise where temporarily pausing algorithmic activity is the prudent move:

  • High-impact macroeconomic news releases with extreme volatility.
  • Needing to manually handle a complex payment dispute or verify banking limits.
  • Making manual adjustments to an ad directly in the exchange interface.

Click the Pause button on the strategy card.

What Happens During a Pause?

  • Pilotbot stops repricing. The pricing worker detaches from monitoring this ad.
  • The ad stays on the exchange. Pausing a strategy does not unpublish your ad from the exchange — it simply locks onto its last quoted price.
  • All parameters are preserved. You won't need to re-explain your trading logic to the agent once conditions stabilize.

Resuming: Back in Action in a Split Second

Once market conditions settle or your manual tasks are complete, resume the strategy with a single click on Resume.

No complex reconfiguration is required:

  1. The pricing engine immediately pulls a fresh snapshot of the order book.
  2. The algorithm validates the ad's current price against the market and safety corridor.
  3. The quotation is smoothly moved to the configured target rank, and automated trading resumes seamlessly.

Fine-Tuning On the Fly: Adjust Without Stopping

If market dynamics shift but the core logic of your strategy remains sound, there is no need to pause and recreate everything from scratch.

Simply return to the chat with the agent and state the adjustments:

  • “Raise the minimum price floor to 93.40”
  • “Move from first position to third”
  • “Increase the outbid step to 0.03”

The agent recalculates the model instantly, highlights the parameter delta, and applies the updates on the fly upon your confirmation without interrupting active trading for even a second.
