How to connect HTX to Pilotbot
HTX is connected via a browser extension instead of API keys. Install it, generate a one-time code in Pilotbot, bind the account, and let the system securely manage the prices of your ads.

HTX is connected differently than Binance and Bybit. HTX has no public P2P API, so there are no API keys to paste. Instead, Pilotbot works via a browser extension that operates within your authenticated HTX session — the pricing layer asks the extension to reprice an ad, and the extension executes it on htx.com exactly as you would manually.
Why an extension instead of API keys
Binance and Bybit allow external applications to manage ads via an API key. HTX does not offer this for P2P. The only way to automatically update a P2P ad on HTX is to do it from an authenticated HTX browser session, which is exactly what the extension provides. Everything happens on your account, in your browser; the Pilotbot server only decides the price, and the extension only clicks the same buttons on htx.com that you would click yourself.
Step 1 — Download and install the extension
In Pilotbot, open Add Account and select the HTX tab. Click Download extension — a .zip file will be downloaded (the extension is not yet in the Chrome Web Store, so it is installed manually — just like developers test unpublished extensions).
To install it:
- Extract the downloaded archive.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome. - Enable Developer mode — the toggle in the top right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder.
The Pilotbot icon will appear on the browser's extension panel (it might be hidden behind the puzzle piece icon — pin it for quick access).
Step 2 — Generate a one-time code in Pilotbot
Still on the Add Account → HTX tab, click Create bind code. Pilotbot will generate a one-time code valid for 10 minutes, and display it in a large field with a copy button.
Step 3 — Open the extension in Chrome
Click the Pilotbot icon in the top right corner of the browser (it might be hidden in the extensions menu — the puzzle button).
Step 4 — Paste the code and confirm the binding
Copy the code from Pilotbot into the extension field and confirm ("Bind"/"Link"). Pilotbot checks the connection in the background and detects the binding automatically — no need to refresh anything manually.
Step 5 — Stay logged in on HTX
Keep the browser tab logged into htx.com, with the P2P page open, and do not disable the extension. All three conditions must be met simultaneously for the extension to work:
- You are logged into HTX in this browser.
- The htx.com P2P tab is open.
- The extension popup shows "Extension connected".
If at least one condition is no longer met (you logged out of your account, closed the tab, or disabled the extension), the system simply won't be able to reach HTX until you restore the condition — it never saves your HTX password, so there is nothing for it to "remember" on its own.
Step 6 — Your ads appear inactive
After connecting, Pilotbot loads your HTX P2P ads, but they start as inactive — the system does not touch them automatically. This is intentional: on every exchange, only you decide which ads the system manages.
Step 7 — Enable automation for your desired ads
Flip the "in bot" toggle for each ad you want to automate. Only then will Pilotbot start repricing this ad — via the extension — within your security corridor. Enabling an ad in the bot does not change whether it is listed on HTX, and vice versa; the two toggles are independent of each other.
One-time fund password confirmation
HTX asks for your fund password when you manually change the price of an ad. The first time you make a single manual price change on htx.com with the extension installed, the extension captures only the encrypted (hashed) form of this confirmation — never the readable password — so the system can continue applying price changes for you. A few important points:
- The system never sees or saves your actual fund password, only the encrypted token.
- The system cannot withdraw or release funds — it only reprices and pauses ads. The fund password is used exclusively to confirm price changes, exactly as HTX requires from you manually.
- HTX remembers the confirmation for a while, and then asks for it again; if this happens, simply make one manual price change again to refresh it.
What the system can and cannot do on HTX
- Can: read your ads and the market, update ad prices, pause/list ads that you have enabled.
- Cannot: withdraw funds, transfer crypto, change your HTX security settings, or enable an ad on its own.
The price is always calculated by the Pilotbot server; the extension only applies the number it is given. Enabling and disabling ads remains entirely your decision.
